2009 SPRING SELECT PROGRAM
Our Spring Soccer Program is dedicated to building fundamental soccer skills. This is wonderful opportunity for coaches and players to enhance their skills, travel and have fun in the spring sun! Below is a brief overview of our Sping Program
This is a coach-select program. There is no registration process involved for Spring Select. Approved Spring Select Coaches select players within their division according to the spring select guidelines. This process normally takes place after the completion of the Fall Season. The coaches selected to represent the Spring Program should be announced within the next two weeks. Some divisions will field 2 teams-while other divisions may only field 1 team.
This program is offered to U-10, U-12, U-14, U-16 & U19 AYSO-registered players.
The purpose of these teams is to allow those players who have demonstrated soccer ability and who have displayed an attitude for fair play, enthusiasm and cooperative team spirit, to participate on a team of players who have similar qualifications.
Practice usually begins in mid-January and the season usually will end in June or July (depending on the number of tournaments a team enters).
Participation on the teams requires an increased level of commitment from both the players and parents. Players are expected to punctually attend all games and practices and display a sense of responsibility towards the coaches and other team members. Teams may participate in the spring league and tournament play. The tournaments will involve travel throughout Southern California. Also, games are usually played on Saturdays and Sundays.
Please see your division commissioner for more information.
