OPENING DAY: Our first day is coming up fast! We have picture day on 9-11-2010. Your team was given a picture schedule last night at the meeting. Most teams received their uniforms, and we are waiting for the final shipment so we can give those out as well. We will also have a French Toast Breakfast from 8:00 to 10:00 for a small fee. We will have a presentation to the Mayor pro tem, pledge of allegiance and a moment of silence. Get Ready, Get Set, Go!
Coaches: Important Announcements
Uniforms: Please check your uniform sizes against the pink slip that was included in your package. Make sure your sizes match the slip. We have found youth sizes instead of adult sizes in our U12 and above uniform packages. Please call Chris at 909-240-2991 immediately if you discover a problem.
DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR UNIFORMS IF YOU DISCOVER YOU HAVE A PROBLEM!
Please hand out the uniforms giving the lowest numbers to your smallest players.
Outstanding uniforms have already been ordered and will be given to your Division Commissioner. You will be notified by them as soon as they are ready.
OTHER NOTES:
There was again grafitti found in the men’s bathroom after last night’s meeting. We need to show pride in our park. This needs to stop. Parents if you have the chance, please wander in and out to make sure your children are not involved in this type of behavior. If we need to lock the bathrooms, it will be done to avoid problems with the park officials. Please act responsibly.
Game cards will be available from your Division Commissioner for U10’s and above.
INDIVIDUAL PLAYER TRAINING IS BEING OFFERED!
Individual Goal Keeper training will be held by appointment ONLY: You can make arrangements by contacting Roy Opondo at 909-947-6300 or by signup sheet at the snack bar.
Field player training id being offered and will concentrate on the basics of ball control… trapping, dribbling and passing. Training is by appointment only. You can sign up on the field player training sheet at the snack bar or by contacting Chris Mangelsdorf at 909-240-7991.

TEAM PARENT MEETING SCHEDULED
The Team Parent meeting for this fall was held at the Ontario Soccer Park, on August 31, 2010 at 7:30 PM. This meeting was for the designated team parent from every team. Each team should have had a representative present at the meeting.

A BASIC REFEREE CLASS HAS BEEN SCHEDULED FOR THE 2010 SEASON.
A Basic-Regional Referee course has been scheduled for Friday and Saturday, August 20-21, 2010. Candidates must attend both classes to receive their Regional Referee Certification. The course is free of charge, but candidates need to pre-register for the course by going to www.eayso.org and log in. Then select “Signup” then “Course”. In the Roster # field use this roster number: 201004345, click search then select the radio button at the left side and then click the [Course Signup] button.
Class times are as follows:
Friday, August 20, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Saturday, August 21, from 9:00 AM to completion.

COACHING CLASSES NOW SCHEDULED FOR FALL 2010 SEASON
Anyone wishing to receive training and certification as a U06 Coach; a U08 Coach U10 Coach; or U12 Coach; You must attend one of the classes listed below. To attend you must be a fall 2010 registered AYSO volunteer and you need to register for the course at www.eAYSO.org, AYSO will be recommending that EVERY coach should be trained and certified at the level they will be coaching.
U-06 Coach Class from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM Monday August 16, 2010. Course ID is: 201004840
U-10 Coach Class from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Monday August 23, 2010. Course ID is: 201004841
U-12 Coach Class from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM Sunday August 22, 2010. Course ID is: 201004842
U-06 and U-10 class will be held at the Ontario Soccer Park. U-12 class will be held at Westwind Park; check in at the main building.
Attendees should bring a ball, notebook/paper and pen, tennis shoes or soccer cleats, a hat, sunscreen, and be ready to work. Region will provide all training materials and water.

Registration for the Fall 2010 season is still open but you MUST register now!
The Region held a last late walk-up registration on Saturday, July 24, 2010 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Ontario Soccer Park.
If you registered on line at eAYSO, please print and sign two copies of your child's registration form, or your volunteer form (no fee for volunteers) along with your check made out to South Ontario Region 583 in the amount of $95.00 for each player. If your child or children are new to Region 583, please bring a photo copy of their birth certificate for verification of their birth date.

If you have not yet registered with the region, the fastest way to register your children or yourself as a coach, referee or other volunteer is to go to eAYSO at this link: www.eayso.org and follow the instructions to complete the electronic registration process.
Once you have registered using eAYSO please print and sign two copies of your child's registration form, or your volunteer form (no fee for volunteers) along with your check made out to South Ontario Region 583 in the amount of $95.00 for each player. If your child or children are new to Region 583, please include a photo copy of their birth certificate. Then mail the entire package to the address this address:
